Profile

Miss Kydd is a performer, producer and theatre scholar. Her work with BirdLand Theatre received 5 Dora Mavor Moore Awards (the Dora is the Canadian equivalent to the Tony Award in the USA). Her work has been seen in England, the United States and Canada.
On stage and film she recently portrayed Mother in The Pillowman by Martin Mc Donagh, Mary Magdalene in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, Major Lotsky in the movie Neil and Frankie in Frankie and Johnny by Terrence McNally. Miss Kydd holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Theatre from the University of Toronto and has trained at the ROYAL ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ART (RADA) in London, England, the NEW ACTORS WORKSHOP and with Anne Bogart’s THE SITI COMPANY in New York City.
